Plant Fairs and Garden Shows in 2014

We are happy to bring plant orders to the shows for collection – just let us know what you would like. We hope we’ll see you at some of these fairs and shows. They are a lovely opportunity to see lots of interesting, carefully grown plants.

Plant Heritage Plant Fair, Gardens of the Rose, near St Albans,

Saturday 5th April 2014

11am-3pm. Our first time at this popular show.

Great Brickhill Plant Fayre, Saturday 12th April 2014, 12 noon to 4pm

Always a Blooming Marvellous favourite of ours, come rain or shine, as we are lucky to get a place selling inside the village hall and hundreds of keen plant people attend looking for interesting plants. Lovely homemade cakes and othe rfood at very reasonable prices.

Capel Manor Spring Gardening Show, Friday 11th – Sunday 13th April 2014

In the grounds of the famous horticultural college, near the junction of the M11 and M25. Our first time at this popular show.

Hardy Plants Society Northants at Holdenby Hall, Sunday 4th – Monday 5th May 2014

10am-16:30 Our first time at this popular fair for serious plant hunters.

Ashridge Plant Fair, Sunday 11th May 2014

A fabulous location by the Ashridge monument in Ashridge Forest.  11am-4pm. Always a lovely day, whatever the weather.

Helmingham hall, just north of Ipswich, Sunday 25th May 2014

A fantastic location a very popular plant fair – our first time selling plants there, although I’ve been to the gardens before and love them.

Carolyn Cumings’ Open Garden just east of Buckingham Thursday 5th June 2014

Carolyn is a garden designer whose garden is a wonderful testament to her skill and hard work. She only opens the garden occasionally, has kindly asked me to brign plants along to sell. Bound to be a lovely visit. Please ask us if you need details.

Woburn Abbey Garden Show, Saturday 21st – Sunday 22nd June 2014 – MAYBE

A relatively new show in a beautiful location (and only 3 miles from my home, which makes for a good start).

Leonie Thorogood’s Open Garden, Hill House, Buckingham, Sat 28th-Sunday 29th June.

A fabulous garden in a lovely setting – always a joy to go here and to support Leonie’s charity openings of her garden.

Chenies Manor Plant Fair, Sunday 20th July 2014

What can I say – hundreds of keen plants people queue outside before it opens at 10, ready to storm round the 50 or so stalls at this wonderful, vibrant fair. Always a great choice for customers, a top selling day for us, and also great fun. The ancient manor house is open to the public on the day.

Bicester Finmere Show (Saturday 9th?) Sunday 10th August

Another first for us – a lovely country show.  The main day is the Sunday (Saturday is just for horse competitions).

Winslow Show, Bank Holiday Monday 25th August 2014

A great old country show, complete with horses, a dog show, fancy dress and lots of tombolas. The location is lovely – opposite Winslow Hall.  Why not visit our nursery too – it’s open 10pm-4pm on Bank Holidays and is half a mile away, on the road towards Aylesbury.
